I am a registered Architect with more than 15 years experience working directly for the owner in the largest hospital in Maine. I understand the issues of working in a demanding Healthcare environment.
I enjoy taking projects from concept to completion. My clients value my ability to take complex problems and find innovative and simple solutions. In addition, my project management skills coupled with my understanding of design, construction, and facility operations has ensured that my projects have been completed on schedule and under budget.
Prior experience includes working in Architectural, A/E and computer software firms.
Located near the New Hampshire Seacoast; less than 60 miles to Boston, Portland or Manchester.
SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Projects:
MMCRI Research Lab addition. Lab space, Admin/office space, Vivarium, upgrade HVAC for the existing building.
Patient Care units. Renovation of many functioning Patient Care areas for modernization, improved efficiency, sprinkler installation, asbestos removal, sound mitigation and ergonomics.
CCCYC Cancer care center. New stand alone facility with Oncology and Radiation Therapy Services to support 3 hospital systems.
Pharmacy Renovation. Created new Pharmacy area within existing hospital. Includes class 10,000 Clean Room, Pharmacy robot, Drug dispensing area and support spaces.
Radiology Renovation. Reorganization of the existing Radiology Department for efficiency and easier way finding. Includes new Angio/O.R. suite, Electronic Imaging computer area, support spaces, new and existing equipment relocations.
CAD / Office support:
Maintained CAD software and data for 1,000,000 square foot main campus and 900,000 square feet of off site locations. The data was used for internal, external reference and by Finance for cost allocation.
Migrated software and data from ARRIS CAD to AutoCAD Architectural Desktop/Architecture.
Championed and started the migration to Building Information Modeling (BIM) as a tool for better communication with the benefit of eventual cost and time savings.
Helped plan, develop and implement standardized department systems.
Managed software developers to set up easy to use project management software based on current department needs.
Developed and implemented a webpage to house reference facility information for internal and external use.
